News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Feb. 2, 2018: A lot has been said this week of the “Caribbean takeover” of the 2018 Grammy’s on Sunday night. But while many have reported on the obvious – the performances by Shaggy and Rihanna as well as Puerto Rican singers Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi and wins by Rihanna and Damian Marley, lost in the excitement is the fact that there were several other Caribbean roots artists who also won big – especially Puerto Rico-roots Bruno Mars who swept up the major wins including Album of the Year and Song of the Year. So while we celebrate this ‘Caribbean’ win, we also wanted to highlight the net worth of some of these Caribbean-born and Caribbean-roots artists from Grammy 2018.
