“I’ll have Another” Wins Kentucky Derby

A horse named “I’ll have Another,” ridden by rookie jockey Mario Gutierrez, ran down the 4-1 favorite Bodemeister and grabbed the lead in the final furlong to win the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby. It was the first win from the number 19 position in the history of the Kentucky Derby.

The Space Shuttle Enterprise, rides piggy-back atop a 747 shuttle carrier aircraft, as they fly past the Statue of Liberty, in New York City, Friday April 27, 2012. The 747 shuttle carrier aircraft and the Enterprise, flew from Washington, DC, up the Hudson River, turned around and returned back down, went across to Newark and landed at JFK airport. Enterprise will eventually be put on permanent display at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.

Jamaica’s PM Visits Brooklyn

News Americas, Brooklyn, NY, Thurs,. April 26, 2012: Dozens of Jamaican New Yorkers packed into a Brooklyn town hall forum Wednesday evening to see their prime minister.

It was the first visit to the U.S. for Prime Minister of Jamaica, Portia Simpson Miller, since winning re-election. She left the island earlier this week for a number of engagements in New York and Philadelphia in the United States, including receiving the award for TIME 100 Most Influential Persons.

The PM will journey to Philadelphia to attend the Penn relays where she will be a special guest of the University of Penn and Team Jamaica Bickle. The Prime Minister will return to the island on Sunday.
