News Americas, HARRISON, NJ, Tues. June 14, 2011: Jamaica trounced Central American champion Honduras on Monday to take their place in the quarter-finals.

The Reggae Boyz win was their third straight match without conceding a goal as they trounced Honduras 1-0.

Ryan Johnson scored the goal from a 25-meter drive that struck the crossbar and rebounded off the back of Honduran keeper Noel Valladares and trickled into the goal.

The result sent Jamaica to the knockout round Sunday in Washington against the second-place team from Group C, which was to play its final matches on Tuesday.
