News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Sept. 28, 2018: The Hollywood home of new Barbados Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Rihanna, has been burglarized and Los Angeles police are now seeking the intruders.
Authorities say they have opened a burglary investigation after responding to reports of a break-in on the 7800 block of Hillside Drive in Hollywood Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Times and E! News confirmed the multi-million-dollar mansion of the Barbados-born pop superstar was broken into and “three black males fled the location” before police arrived.
“Just like any other burglary, officers will sift through video surveillance to identify these guys and if there is no luck they will release the videos to the public to identify responsible parties,” a spokesperson of the LAPD was quoted as saying.
The news comes on the heels of the Bajan superstar being named an ambassador with specific responsibility for promoting education, tourism and investment for the island of Barbados.
In accepting her new duties, Rihanna said that she was ready to play her part in creating a new Barbados.
“I couldn’t be more proud to take on such a prestigious title in my home country,” ,” she stated. “Every Barbadian is going to have to play their role in this current effort, and I’m ready and excited to take on the responsibility. I look forward to working with Prime Minister Mottley and her team to reimagine Barbados.”
