News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. Dec. 6, 2022: I have virtually nothing to offer Haiti personally for Christmas or anytime, except my sincere belief expressed in words that there is no legitimate reason for the condition of Haiti and its people today, and for generations past. As Jesus famously said in the gospel of Matthew: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

To me, that should be applied to Haiti. Anyone with any kind of religious or moral sensibility simply cannot ignore Haiti and the conditions there since they would never accept them for themselves or our nation. Yes, you can always say there are so many troubled places on Earth. But my reply is: “Ok, if you are not doing anything about it in Haiti, where are you doing so? And why not Haiti?

There is one person, only one person with more power than anyone on Earth than Jesus to do more for Haiti than anyone else right now. He is President Joseph Biden. So why isn’t he? Which brings me to this Christmas message, which is the perfect time for President Biden to FINALLY do something for Haiti. There is no doubt whatsoever that he can do so, and with gifts that do not have inherent difficulties as some others will.

Before I offer some more suggestions to President Biden, let me set an example by offering a very modest symbolic gift to the Haitian community in New York City. We have flown the Ukraine flag time and again this year at Bowling Green in support of Ukraine and will continue to do so in 2023. Also, annually we normally fly the Bowling Green Holiday flag beside the 13 star American flag in Bowling Green, NY for most of the month of December as we will beginning today, but ..

if members of the Haitian community would be willing to bring their large Haitian flag back to Bowling Green on Thursday at sunset – December 22nd – just before the start of the Christmas holiday weekend that will extend to the end of the year – we will raise the Haitian flag at Bowling Green, in a brief candle lit vigil. Maybe we will even sing a few Haitian Christmas carols and pray that President Biden somehow sees the Haitian flag flying at Bowling Green for Christmas and is inspired to help Haiti.

Now President Biden here are my gift ideas for you for Haiti …

I touched on some of them in my more detailed Open Letter the other day, but these are actions you can take right now and without any controversy from any rationale American or member of Congress. And it is only your power as President that can produce meaningful results with these gifts.

The fact is, I can guarantee these few realistic gifts will have a very real impact for and in Haiti, more so than anything any other President has ever done for Haiti. This will embellish your legacy as president with the possibility that history will judge you as the President who finally rescue Haiti from despair and puts it on the path to prosperity.

It is an indisputable fact that with the condition in Haiti, the country and its people will NEVER reach its potential without America’s meaningful support, which it has never received. You can begin to change all this for Christmas, President Biden. Announce actions that you will take at the very start of 2023 as follows:

1) Use your power and influence to do what no one else can – recruit and convince an important American with powerful positive reputation to do something they do not want to do – be named the new American Ambassador to Haiti effective at the beginning of 2023.

Insist you will ensure their safety by assigning a substantial number of high-quality military “police” to the embassy in Haiti and that the new Ambassador will perform most of their work by bringing Haitians who can want to make a positive difference to meet you and develop plans for the future with the new Ambassador, inside the embassy complex.

Also allow the new Ambassador to spend as much time returning to the U.S, again and again to rally support for Haiti throughout the United States and report on what the Ambassador learns in Haiti from the Haitian people.

2) Announce that U.S. Secretary of State Blinken will visit Haiti during January 2023 and, following him in the following months, each of the senior members of your Administration will make their own brief visit to Haiti then report back to you on their findings and recommendations.

3) Announce by Christmas that during 2023, by early fall,  there will be White House sponsored and organized multi-day conferences on the FUTURE of Haiti 2023-2033 & Beyond in both Washington, D.C., and New York City and that; A) you will personally address both conference, B) you will personally invite all the largest American companies to participate in various ways, and C)  you will personally invite the best and brightest in every field to make themselves available to speak at either conference with their best ideas for Haiti’s future

Finally for your final and most impressive 4th Christmas gift for Haiti …

4) I had proposed previously that you create a $1 Billion fund to re-rebuild Haiti for the future. In fact, that qualifies as a “typo;” it will take much more than $1 Billion. But here President Biden is how you can make use of $1 Billion in U.S. funding to make a very big difference – by creating a powerful physical visible symbol of what Haiti can and must look like in the future.

The U.S. government should spend $1 Billion and build a large new embassy complex in Haiti that will be far more than traditional embassy and unlike any other in the world. It will include a sophisticated state of the art learning center for Haitians, supported by major U.S. universities. It will include a large, impressive clinic for Haitians, staffed by American doctors, specialists, and nurses, who volunteer to spend some time in Haiti assisting Haitians and training Haitians.

It will include a sports complex, where Americans athletes and coaches will visit to share their sporting skills and passion with Haitians. Likewise, a new broadcast center that will attract American broadcasters, journalists and entertainers to spend time in Haiti, with Haitians.

And this it will begin with an international design competition for architect to design a series of buildings and a focal point structure that will be a powerful symbol of the kind of future Haiti deserves. The winning design and construction in Haiti can begin by the time your current term ends.

These FOUR Christmas gifts from President Biden for Haiti and Haitians are all realistic and the government can begin implementing them at the very beginning of 2023. These FOUR gifts, which serve America and President Biden as much as Haiti and Haitians, are unlike any ever offered to Haiti, and it is guaranteed they will have major impact, beginning the day President Biden announces these “gifts” – IF he does.

President Biden these Christmas gifts for Haiti are ready for you to give.

All you have to do is “wrap” them and put them under The White House Christmas Tree any time before Christmas Day. Put them near the Manger right where baby Jesus will be on Christmas morning. He will surely be pleased with you! You are bringing hope to the whole world by what you do for Haiti.
