News Americas, BRASILIA, Brazil, Fri. July 22, 2011: Brazil’s Tourism Institute has a new president.

He is Flavio Dino, who will seek to continue the expansion of the country’s tourism offerings, according to Brazil’s minister of tourism, Pedro Novais.

Dino is a lawyer, former judge , a professor of law and political Brazilian joined the Communist Party of Brazil. In 2006 he was elected federal deputy for Maranhao, exercising his mandate until February 1st of 2011. He was director of the Law School of Brasilia IDP – Brasiliense Institute of Public Law until his recent appointment.

“Dino is here to enhance and carry on Embratur’s work to promote tourism,” Novais said.

“Brazil has become a tourism leader in South America. This shows that our work is on the right path,” said Dino.
