Haitian Migrant Found Guilty Of Biting ICE Officers

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. May 10, 2023: A Haitian man has been found guilty of biting ICE officers during his deportation, according to an article by the Haitian Times. Jubenson Dominique was being deported from the United States when he attacked the officers, biting one of them on the hand.

The incident occurred in 2022 when the man was being deported from the United States to Haiti. During the deportation process, the man became agitated and bit one of the ICE officers who were escorting him. The man was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

The man has now been found guilty of assaulting a federal officer and faces up to 20 years in prison. The judge presiding over the case noted that the man’s actions were “extremely dangerous” and that the ICE officers involved in the incident “deserved better.”
