Djokovic To Face Murray In U.S. Open Men’s Finale

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Sun. Sept. 9, 2012: No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia beat No. 4 seed David Ferrer of Spain today, Sunday September 9th to advance to the men’s finals with a win of 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2.

“It was a huge relief to get through this match,” said Djokovic. “He’s one of the fittest guys on tour and never gives up.”

Djokovic will now play No. 3 seed Andy Murray of Great Britain in the finals. Djokovic leads their head-to-head 8-6, but the pair have split their four matches against each other in 2012. Djokovic won a marathon five set semifinal against Murray at the Australian Open, while Murray beat Djokovic in straight sets at the London Olympics on the way to the gold medal. USA, LLC OnDeck
