News Americas, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Sat. April 25, 2016: The top relay teams from Jamaica and Guyana will face teams from the USA, Canada and China in today’s highly anticipated USA versus the world men’s 4×00 meters relay at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.
Jamaica is pulling out the stops with a high powered line-up that’s sure to bring the house down and pave the way for the usual fan divide in the stands.
Nesta Cater, Michael Frater, Asafa Powell and Jason Livermore will represent Jamaica. It will be the first time Powell is returning to the Penn Relays following his 18 month suspension for using a banned substance.
Guyana is also fielding a team for the first time in many years in the show down. The Guyana team includes Jeremy Bascom, Stephan James, Winston George and Adam Harris.
The US is fielding two teams as has become customary. Team USA Blue includes Mike Rodgers, Justin Gatlin, Isaiah Young and Ryan Bailey while USA Red includes Joe Morris, Justin Walker, Maurice Mitchell and Sean McClean.
Canada and China are also in the relays.
