News Americas, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Sat. April 30, 2011: Jamaican athletes continue their dominance at the annual Penn Relays Carnival, fueled undoubtedly by skills, passion and the bickle or food provided by non-profit group, Team Jamaica Bickle.

Travis Smikle of Calabar High School on Friday created a Penn Relays record by winning the High School Boys Discus in 228’1′.

The High School Girls’ 4×800 Championship of America was won by Edwin Allen in a time of 8:39.22 while Holmwood placed third. It was a one, two three win for Jamaican high in the High School Girls’ 4×400 Championship of America as Vere Technical claimed the win while Holmwood and Edwin Allen were second and third, respectively.

Holmwood and St. Jago Boys qualified for the High School Boys’ 4×800 Small Schools competition today.

Meanwhile, US Olympians will clash with other top athletes in the USA vs. the World Distance Medleys at 1.55 p.m. and from 4:10 p.m. this afternoon, also featuring Jamaica, Grenada, The Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.
