It was the first visit to the U.S. for Prime Minister of Jamaica, Portia Simpson Miller, since winning re-election. She left the island earlier this week for a number of engagements in New York and Philadelphia in the United States, including receiving the award for TIME 100 Most Influential Persons.
The PM will journey to Philadelphia to attend the Penn relays where she will be a special guest of the University of Penn and Team Jamaica Bickle. The Prime Minister will return to the island on Sunday.
