LAN Sees Busy August

News Americas, SANTIAGO, Chile, Fri. Sept. 9, 2011: LAN Airlines S.A., one of the leading passenger and cargo airlines in Latin America, says it’s seeing a spike in cargo and passenger traffic.

The company reported cargo traffic rose almost ten percent in August as capacity increased 11 percent.

During August, LAN also saw passenger traffic increase 14.1 percent as capacity rose 12.7 percent. International passenger traffic accounted for approximately 67.9 percent of total passenger traffic while domestic passenger traffic in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia rose 21.8 percent as capacity increased 19.8 percent.
