Trick Or Treat Barack?

By Arthur Piccolo

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Oct. 16, 2015:  You thought Osama bin Laden was dead and buried …….

or more precisely dead and eaten by hungry sharks.

Well HE’S BACK at The White House in time for Halloween.

Perfect timing as you should know Barack & Michelle go all out at Halloween at The White House eons beyond what any First Couple that ever occupied The White House did before them. No competition whatsoever from the Bushes, Clintons, all the way back to the Washingtons’.

The Obamas spare no expense putting on a show for kids and adults. Then again do they ever spare any expenses? It is always party time at The White House since January 20, 2009, beginning on the night of Obama’s first Inauguration when they hosted an all night party at our expense there for their special friends even as they hopped from Ball to Ball and were so tired when they got back to The Big House they went straight to bed to sleep or whatever else one might do in the master bedroom at The White House.

Anyway back to bin Laden and Halloween. My timing is perfect because even though it is still two weeks before Big H you can be sure planning is fully under way at the Obamas. Remember this is their next to last Halloween there. Only two more chances to spend our money on Halloween…

So what is the story here this episode?

Well my favorite media partners The New York Times just as I was about to write this week’s episode surprised me – trick or treat – with a  new investigative piece on line which will officially appear in next Sunday’s Magazine and I just could not resist.

Especially not resist because I am going to trump – I should not use that word since it’s become a comical word because of you know who –  anyway I am going to go deeper than The Times right here! Once again in ways others do not see and what you get to see in Obama’s America.

The New York Times story is titled …..

“What Do We Really Know About Osama bin Laden’s Death?”

Sub-title … “The history of Obama’s most important foreign-policy victory is still being written.”

What’s going on here is that the details about bin Laden’s execution that we have been fed by President Obama, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and all the rest of them is fabricated or as we say on the street – LIES.

Of course deception has never been a problem for Barack Obama he has been practicing it all his life and he is good at fooling people. Very good!

Let’s dig into the story to set the stage for my revelation.

I will skip the lead in which is long and inconsequential but remember this is the cover story for next Sunday’s New York Times Magazine so it has to be very long so readers don’t feel cheated. I don’t have that problem.

To the meat of the story …

“On the other end of the line was Seymour Hersh, the investigative reporter.”

“Hersh was calling to ask about the photographs of bin Laden’s burial at sea — carried out, the U.S. government said, in accordance with Islamic custom — that Bowden had described in detail at the end of ‘‘The Finish,’’ as well as in an adaptation from the book that appeared in Vanity Fair.

‘‘One frame shows the body wrapped in a weighted shroud,’’ Bowden had written. ‘‘The next shows it lying diagonally on a chute, feet overboard. In the next frame, the body is hitting the water. In the next it is visible just below the surface, ripples spreading outward. In the last frame there are only circular ripples on the surface. The mortal remains of Osama bin Laden were gone for good.’’

What’s that the photos of bin Laden being buried at sea in a ceremonial Muslim way are phony? Later in the story we are told most likely the Seals kicked his body out of their helicopter after shooting him execution style and leaving his compound with his dead bloody body riddled with bullets.

Anyway back to the story…

“It’s hard to overstate the degree to which the killing of Osama bin Laden transformed American politics. From a purely practical standpoint, it enabled Obama to recast himself as a bold leader, as opposed to an overly cautious one, in advance of his 2012 re-election campaign. This had an undeniable impact on the outcome of that election.”

In other words Obama and his team told a fabricated version of the details of bin Laden’s execution that worked well for his re-election campaign. Or put another way part of Obama’s campaign strategy to win a second term was to walk all over bin Laden’s dead body and he did. Surprise!

Here is more from The Times story …

“Strategically, the death of bin Laden allowed Obama to declare victory over Al Qaeda, giving him the cover he needed to begin phasing U.S. troops out of Afghanistan. And it almost single-handedly redeemed the C.I.A., turning a decade-long failure of intelligence into one of the greatest triumphs in the history of the agency.”

Followed by …

“But bin Laden’s death had an even greater effect on the American psyche. Symbolically, it brought a badly wanted moment of moral clarity, of unambiguous American valor, to a murky war defined by ethical compromise and even at times by collective shame. It completed the historical arc of the 9/11 attacks.”

Then this ….

“The official narrative of the hunt for and killing of bin Laden at first seemed like a clear portrait, but in effect it was more like a composite sketch from multiple perspectives: the Pentagon, the White House and the C.I.A. And when you studied that sketch a little more closely, not everything looked quite right.

“Almost immediately, the administration had to correct some of the most significant details of the raid. Bin Laden had not been ‘‘engaged in a firefight,’’ as the deputy national-security adviser, John Brennan, initially told reporters; he’d been unarmed. Nor had he used one of his wives as a human shield. The president and his senior advisers hadn’t been watching a ‘‘live feed’’ of the raid in the Situation Room; the operation had not been captured on helmet-cams. But there were also some more unsettling questions about how the whole story had been constructed.”

Then this ….

“Then there was the sheer improbability of the story, which asked us to believe that Obama sent 23 SEALs on a seemingly suicidal mission, invading Pakistani air space without air or ground cover, fast-roping into a compound that, if it even contained bin Laden, by all rights should have been heavily guarded. And according to the official line, all of this was done without any sort of cooperation or even assurances from the Pakistani military or intelligence service. How likely was that?”

This New York Times piece goes on and on and on it never ends I only read it all as a service to you my loyal readers who expect me to sacrifice for you.

After all this the basic story of bin Laden’s demise is still true. He was killed in that compound in Pakistan and the Seals did it in a raid by helicopter it is just that all the details were made up to make President Obama look good.

BUT THAT IS NOT THE STORY they completely miss.

Here is where Obama’s America comes in to save the day  …

One fact seems generally agreed a decision was made by Obama to execute bin Laden when it appears he could have been captured alive.

I think the central unanswered question is how and why was that decision made although it is given little or no attention.

Certainly it was a very popular decision to execute bin Laden as a mass murderer but is that why it was done? Or was he executed by the Obama Administration for some other reason?

That if he had decided to talk in custody that this may have created problems for some American allies. Might it also have provided new details to the issue of American CIA and FBI failures and blunders that allowed 9/11 to take place? Was it just so much simpler to execute bin Laden?

If so what impact might that information have had on Barack Obama and his legacy and his great “success” in killing bin Laden if that reason was made for political rather than logical reasons.

Could knowledge that Obama had decided to execute rather than try and capture bin Laden was good for his re-election campaign have become a scandal that would have “trumped” – sorry I used that word again – that would have undermined Obama’s re-election. Not that Americans wanted bin Laden alive but that Obama had decided to execute and not capture him not cause it was logical to do so but because it was good for his campaign?

Will we ever know? And what was Hillary Clinton’s role?
