News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. Aug. 31, 2011: Puerto Rican-born reggaeton singer and actor is adding educational spokesperson to his resume.

Singer Don Omar, born William Omar Landrón Rivera, will be the spokesman of an educational campaign directed at young people in New York City, he told EFE.

The “Don,” whose says he is also moving to Hollywood to fulfill several work commitments.

Don Omar’s upcoming collaborative album, titled Meet the Orphans, is scheduled on October 19, 2010. He is currently signed to VI Music and Machete Music through Universal Music Latino.

The single “Hasta Abajo” was released in advance of the album.
