Rihanna was forced to can her Grammy performance.

News Americas, LOS ANGELES, CA, Tues. Feb. 16, 2016: Barbados-born singer Rihanna was noticeably M.I.A. from the Grammy stage last night.

The singer reportedly was forced to can her performance due to a bout of bronchitis.

“#NAVY so sorry I couldn’t be there ….. Thanks Grammys and CBS for your support tonight,” Rihanna tweeted.

Her rep told Billboard that the RiRi’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she “was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords.”

Rihanna was slated to sing “Kiss It Better,” the smooch-y jam off her recent release Anti, for the 58th annual ceremony.

She had arrived at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center to rehearse her performance but did not walk the red carpet and canceled the performance at the last minute because antibiotics the singer was taking for three days did not work.
