News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. July 20, 2018: A Caribbean operated software company will now have two of its products now available to U.S. consumers through a top U.S. company.

As of Wednesday, July 18, 2018, this week, Amber Connect, a Kingston, Jamaica-based software company that specializes “in the development of Internet of Things (IoT) applications,” according to its website, will have two of its state-of-the-art system GPS vehicle and bike trackers available at Best Buy online’s store.

Jamaica Gleaner reports indicate that the partnership was inked through the Bluebird Group, a retail services company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Best Buy online will carry two of Amber Connect’s best-selling telematics products – the Amber Connect 365G and Amber Connect 362.

The higher level AMB 365G provides such services as real time tracking, trip reports, expense management and other functionalities. The AMB 362 unit is a portable tracking device and can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Both devices are app-enabled and can be controlled by the owner.

Chairman of ICD Group, Joseph M. Matalon, a part owner of Amber Connect, told the paper that instore placements will follow by this Fall.

Amber Connect was founded by CEO Dushyant Savadia in 2015, but quickly expanded into foreign markets. The company also has a software development base in India.

“To be aligned with Best Buy is not only an honor but also a clear representation of the high level of technology innovation Amber Connect has achieved in such a short period,” Savadia was quoted as saying.

Amber Connect says “its mission is to provide safety, security and peace of mind to vehicle owners, provide business intelligence for commercial verticals and create a safer and a more secure society by offering affordable IoT security solutions.”
