News Americas Now, New York, NY, Tuesday, July 7, 2014- Under the theme, “ This is Jamaica….My Jamaica”, the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) has announced this year’s events for Jamaica’s annual Festival.
The Festival’s events will include several exciting family events and activities organized by the country’s Ministry of Youth & Culture and its agencies.
Among the signature events are the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Coronation scheduled for 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 19th at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Center and the Jamaica Festival Song Competition Finals scheduled to start at 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 26th at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Center.
The Grand Gala is scheduled for Independence Day, Wednesday August 6th, at the National Stadium and the Western Gala for the same day at UDC Park in Montego Bay.
The Jamaica Festival Village will open at 12 noon from August 1-5 and offer rides, attractions, booth displays, food court and entertainment for the entire family. Day-time entrance to the Village will be free of cost.
