News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. Sept. 17, 2018: Three Caribbean islands were yesterday again shaken by earthquakes that measured a maximum of 3.3 on the Richter scale according to the U.S. Geological Survey, (USGS).

Jamaica registered the 3.3 earthquake Sunday at 2:46 p.m. that occurred 6 miles from Above Rocks, Jamaica. Local media reports said the quake was felt in numerous parishes, including Kingston, St Andrew and St Catherine but there has were no indication of any damage sustained.

The University of the West Indies, however, said the “light earthquake” measured a magnitude of 4.6 and was felt in the Corporate Area and St Catherine at 1:47 p.m. Jamaica time.

Many took to social media to share their experience with Desmond Brown saying the tremors caused “beds were dancing and tables rocking.”

The earthquake in Jamaica occurred weeks after a quake  measuring 5.2 jolted the island on September 3rd.

The USGS also said tremors of 3.1 on the Richter scale was registered near Boca de Yuma, Dominican Republic at 09:58 a.m. EST while Puerto  Rico was shaken with a 2.9 quake 55km NNW of San Antonio, Puerto Rico around 4:51 p.m.
