News Americas, PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Thurs. June 9, 2011: The West Indies cricket squad lost to India again Wednesday in the second Digicel Pearls One-Day International.
India grabbed a seven-wicket win over the Windies to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
West Indies began batting very well in the day but collapsed to 240-9 from their 50 overs. Ramnaresh Sarwan added 56 and Lendl Simmons, 53 as they both stroked half-centuries.
India, however, romped home to their revised target of 183, following a near 45-minute break for rain at Queen’s Park Oval.
Virat Kohli hit 81 from 103 balls while Parthiv Patel cracked 56 from 64 balls.
