What Hillary Clinton Needs To Do To Win The Presidency

Barack-Hillary
Will Hillary Clinton replace Barack Obama as President?

By Felicia J. Persaud

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. May 4, 2015: Like her or hate her, Hillary Clinton has made it clear she is going to fight again like Ali to be the first female President of the United States.

And despite the critics, who think the Peter Schweitzer book: “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” will tank her candidacy, I say not. That will soon fade and anyway like email gate. After all, how many real voters are going to run out and buy this book to soak up the sordid details before deciding how to vote?

But Hillary Clinton has to be extremely strategic in this new brown and black America, something we all know Republicans are not. The secret to her winning the White House lies not in her last name, not because she is a woman, not her ability to raise bunker load of cash or if her husband turns on his charm with black voters.

Listen up Mrs. Clinton – the secret to winning in 2016 and spanking Republicans so hard they have to run for cover with their legs between their tails – lie with one bloc of voters – the immigrant bloc.

So far your campaign website does not say much to lure this demographic even though the one video on their tries to be inclusive. That must change! Your campaign staffers too must reflect the diversity of America and not give us a pasty, white face.

We also don’t know as yet where you really stand on the issues, especially immigration reform. This has to be front and center on your site.

You must consistently state your position along with other main stream issues like the economy; it cannot be left on the back-burner and only come up when you are asked.

No – we want to hear over and over again that you support a path to citizenship for the millions of immigrants living in the United States undocumented in the US and how you are going to deal make to make it a reality.

In other words, no more promises like President Obama sold us when he ran, but real concrete steps to making this happen. You cannot be afraid to speak up for immigrants and their issues.

So far, opening your campaign headquarters in the heart of the immigrant populated borough of Brooklyn is a brilliant move.

But your trump card to winning the White House lies also in whom you select as your vice-presidential candidate.

It cannot be a status quo older Caucasian male. That’s last century! It also cannot be a Caucasian woman; we already have you!

No, what will ensure a win in 2016 Madame Secretary is a Hispanic vice-presidential candidate.

Let me say it again – what will ensure a win in 2016 Madame Secretary is a Hispanic vice-presidential candidate.

And not just any Hispanic either.

Let me suggest Illinois Congressman Luis Vicente Gutiérrez. Not only is Congressman Gutiérrez known around the country for standing up for people’s rights and fighting the good fight on behalf of immigrants and immigration reform, but he has the experience to back it up and history on his side.

Gutiérrez is the first Latino to be elected to Congress from the Midwest and with 20 years of service, he has become the longest serving member of the Illinois House delegation in the House of Representatives.

And most of all, he knows how to deal make with Republicans to get things done; something you will need especially after the sordid tale of email gate.

So there Mrs. Clinton; there’s your strategy to winning in 2016; not because I like you, but because I detest the current crop of Republicans trying to be President.
