News Americas, BRUSSELS, Belgium, Fri. Sept. 16, 2011: World 100-m record winner, Yohan Blake, is on fire, winning the 200-meters at the Memorial Van Damme Diamond League meeting in Brussels earlier today.
Blake, 21, ran 19.26. “I was looking for this and I got it. I expected to run fast but not this fast,” said Blake.“The last 40 metres was crazy, but I’m like a beast when that happens. I just take control of the track.”
Blake won the world championships 100-m title last month and is running his running a personal best and world-leading time this season – bettering the previous year mark of 19.40 seconds, Bolt used to win the world championships.
