10 Things To Know About Barbados Star Rihanna’s New Beau And His Billionaire Family

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. July 14, 2017: Reports are that Bajan star Rihanna and her new beau Hassan Jameel are ready to tie the knot. So who exactly is Hassan Jameel? Here are 10 things you should know about the new man and potential mate of the Caribbean’s top celebrity:

1: Hassan Jameel was born in Saudi Arabia and is 29, like Rihanna and heir to a $1.5 billion fortune.

2: Jameel serves as deputy president and vice chairman of the family business Abdul Latif Jameel Domestic.

3: The company is the sole owner of the right to sell Toyota cars in Saudi Arabia and the Jameel family has reportedly sold over 14.1 million cars dating back to 1966.

4: While his own net worth is unclear, the family has been ranked by Forbes as the 12th wealthiest Arabs in the world.

5:  The Jameel family is also believed to also owns the Jameel League, which is the professional soccer league in Saudi Arabia.

6: But according to the company’s site, “is comprised of diversified businesses with deep roots in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT region).” That includes interests in financial services, land and real estate, energy and environmental services, consumer products and advertising and media.

7: Jameel has become one of the most known face of the company and has been pictured meeting British royalty including Prince Andrew.

8: He is also believed to be a close friend of supermodel Naomi Campbell and the pair was seen cozying up as they watched Stevie Wonder perform at last summer’s Barclaycard British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park. However, Campbell has since declared she has no “beef” with Rihanna or anyone, “especially with black women, who are in the same thing and doing the same struggle.”

9: Jameel and his family seem to be big on giving back and focuses a lot on initiatives like global poverty alleviation, food & water security, arts and culture, education and training and health and social.

10: In his professional capacity as vice chairman of the family firm, Jameel accepted a challenge in 2013 to break the Guinness World Record for the most amount of Toyotas put in one long line. However, he did not actually go through with it.
