Actor Jimmy Jean-Louis Loses Dad To Robbers

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. April 11, 2014: Actor Jimmy Jean-Louis is mourning the loss of his dad who was passed away at a Haitian hospital on Thursday morning from complications suffered from a single bullet to the abdomen.

Lephène Jean-Louis, 78, the beloved father of Jean-Louis of NBC Heroes and Toussaint Louverture) was an innocent bystander during an attempted robbery at a local store near his home in Torcelle, Haiti. He was shot once but the three assailants escaped by motorcycle. They are still at large.

“We appreciate the outpouring of love and concern shown at this time of loss. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this difficult time, and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers,” the Jean-Louis family said this morning.
