News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Dec. 8, 2017: Thanksgiving is over and the leftovers are all eaten up! Now it’s time to prepare for the Christmas parties and Christmas Day Feastings!

What shall we prepare? Well we need to start with the sorrel and the Ginger beer beverages. Also we need to ensure we have enough fruit soaked to make Black Christmas cake!

Today, I will share with you my sorrel drink recipe for Christmas.

2 lbs dried or fresh sorrel
1lb fresh ginger
2 quarts water
Sugar to taste
2 cups Port Wine
1 cup Jamaican White Rum
8-12 pimento grains

Wash sorrel.
Wash ginger.
Grind the ginger in a blender
Add ginger mixture to the sorrel.

Add pimento grains.
Add water
Bring mixture to a boil.
Allow to stand overnight.
Strain and sweeten with sugar to taste.

Add rum and wine. (the alcohol is optional)

Serve with ice cubes.

Bon Appetite.
