Canada is warning nationals to avoid non-essential travel to Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands and to exercise a high degree of caution if travelling to Freeport and Nassau due to crime.

Norwegian cruise lines is now committing $2 million to the Hurricane Dorian relief effort for the Bahamas, to help residents of the devastated Grand Bahama Island and Abaco Island in the north.
