Promotion 24/7 with CaribPR

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. May 24, 2013: As Ecuador prepares to return to the financial markets, Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States Nathalie Cely will speak on sovereign debt, investments, and trade at an intimate gathering of business leaders and investors at the Harvard Club in New York next week on Wednesday, May 29th, from 12:00-2:00PM.

The ambassador is coming to New York to officially launch Ecuador’s “Keep Trade Going” campaign and to ask Congress to renew trade preference programs such as the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA), which awards duty-free access to U.S markets to a set of high-quality, non-competitive Ecuadorian products.

This program was designed to combat drug production and trafficking by strengthening legitimate industries in Ecuador. Her talk at the Harvard Club will kick off the New York launch of this campaign.

Ecuador plans to consider returning to the international bond markets in 2014. The country also recently passed new reforms to mining laws that will fast track contracts and investments and incorporate changes requested by private investors.

Ecuador’s National Assembly expects to release a report next week on the first debate of a bill.
