News Americas, LOS ANGELES, CA, Weds. Jan. 25, 2017: The Haitian American founder of top Hip hop website, WorldStarHipHop, passed away in his sleep Monday according to TMZ.

Lee “Q” O’Denat who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Hollis, Queens, NY, was 43. O’Denat launched WSHH, also referred to as “WorldStar,” posting and premiering viral content, including hip-hop videos and mixtapes, as well as eye-grabbing clips in 2005. The site served as a platform for spotlighting up-and-coming hip-hop talent and birthed a popular catchphrase for the online community with “WorldStar,” when users would record outrageous events and post them on the Internet.

O’Denat was raised by a Haitian born single mom and once worked at a Circuit City store. He was living in San Diego with his three young children at the time of his death.

O’Denat once told Parle magazine he was “very spiritual” and mediated a lot. “I know there are other beings around us that we can’t see,” he told the magazine in 2010.

His site has a global rank of 1,209 and 313 in the US according to Alexa.
