Least We Forget Donald Trump’s Xenophobic Pronouncements

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. May 13, 2016: Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive Presidential nominee of the Grand Old Party, he suddenly feels he can walk back all of the “disgusting” xenophobic pronouncements he has made about immigrants, blacks, Muslims, women and the disabled. In fact, Trump’s new one liner is: I love Hispanics.”

On Cinco De Mayo Day, Trump, looking pig faced as he ate a taco bowl, took to his favorite social media platform to Tweet in usual self-promotion mode: “Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill.”

And he added: “I love Hispanics.”

Really? What happened to the “Mexicans are rapists and criminals” line? And the use of “the” as the definite article in describing a minority group, as in “the Hispanics,” “the Muslims” and “the blacks.”

Or how about…?

“The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc. … The Mexican government is sending the bad ones over because they don’t want to pay for them.”

The Archaic U.S. Immigration System And Why It Must Change

Stopping The Trump Hate Brigade

“Well somebody’s doing the raping Don. I mean who’s doing the raping?” This was in response to a question by CNN’s Don Lemon on evidence for his claim that Latino immigrants crossing the border were rapists.

“We need a wall. The king of building buildings, the king of building walls–none of them can build them like Donald Trump.”

“I’m opposed to new people coming in. We will have a wall [on the Mexican border]. The wall will be built. The wall will be successful. I’ll get Mexico to pay for it one way or the other. I guarantee you that.”

“Many killings, murders, crime, drugs are pouring across the border, our money is going out and the drugs coming in.”

“Sadly, the overwhelming amount of violent crime in our major cities is committed by blacks and Hispanics.”

And the classic…saying in a town hall meeting that “women should be punished for having an abortion” and releasing a statement “calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” while confirming that he would set up a database for Muslim-Americans.

Immigrants and black voters cannot forget what Trump has said throughout his campaign to date when he himself insists he is “guided by common sense, by what’s right.” If he believes everything he has said so far is right then he must be held at his word at the polls this November.

This was supposed to be the year Republicans made inroads with Hispanics, but instead according to the Washington Times, it will now be the year when “Hispanics eager to punish Donald Trump, GOP over border wall, immigration rhetoric.”

This is exactly what will happen come November 5, 2016!
