News Americas, LOS ANGELES, CA, Fri. April 29, 2016: The coveted number one spot on the Billboard Reggae Charts for May 7th is in and the prize has been claimed by not a Jamaican, but a South California band with no real link to the island where the genre evolved.

Stick Figure,’ which was founded as a one-man band by Duxbury, Massachusetts native Scott Woodruff in 2006 has claimed the top spot for its new ‘Set In Stone,’ album. Woodruff is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and producer.

Stick Figure is now a four-piece band out of San Diego, California that now features Kevin Bong, Kevin Offitzer and Tommy Suliman.

Set in Stone’s distinctive songwriting and production is being billed as the next chapter in the evolution of sound for Stick Figure music and features appearances from Collie Buddz and Slightly Stoopid.

It’s not the first time at number one for the band. In 2012 Woodruff released the fifth Stick Figure album, ‘Burial Ground,’ to critical acclaim. The album reached no. 1 on the Billboard Reggae charts and on iTunes.
