News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs. Oct. 15, 2015: Sri Lanka finished the opening day of the first Test against West Indies strong yesterday with a whopping 250 for two.

Opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne led the way with his third Test century. Karunaratne’s unbeaten 135 and a knock of 72 not out from Dinesh Chandimal put the hosts firmly on top at the Galle International Stadium.

West Indies senior pacers Jerome Taylor,  Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel as well as spinners Devendra Bishoo and Jomel Warrican have a lot of work to do today.

West Indies is on tour under brand new captain Jason Holder.
