News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs. Feb. 13, 2014: Jamaican-born singer, Tessanne Chin, the 2013 winner of NBC Reality music show, ‘The Voice,’  will be represented by one of the world’s largest talent and literary agencies.

Chin, 28, according to The Hollywood Reporter, has signed with ICM Partners, which has offices in New York, Los Angeles, and London and represents creative and technical talent in the fields of motion picture, television, books, music, live performance, branded entertainment and new media.

The Season 5 winner and powerhouse vocalist already has the rest of her management secured with her sister Tami Chin Mitchell serving as her manager along with attorney Sandra Brown. She is already signed to Universal Republic Records which handles most of the non-country Voice winners.

Chin is now in the studio recording her debut album, which is due out on Universal Republic Records later this year.

After winning ‘The Voice,’ Chin performed at the annual Rose Bowl Parade, Shaggy’s benefit concert, “Shaggy and Friends,” and headlined her first free show in downtown Kingston.  She is set to perform at  the St. Kitts Music Festival which will run this year from Thursday, June 26th to Saturday, June 28th.

Born to musical parents and raised in Jamaica, Chin started performing at just six years old before moving to England at age 12.  Upon returning to Jamaica, she joined the Jamaican Rock Band, “Mile High” and performed for crowds at local venues including Jazz fest, Rock fest, and RETV Unplugged.  She then launched her solo career, and her debut single, “Hideaway,” and its music video became popular.
