News Americas, LOS ANGELES, CA, Fri. Nov. 21, 2014: Trinidad-American Alfonso Ribeiro is suffering through the pain and gearing up for the finals of “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday, Nov. 24th.

The actor made it through the semi-finals despite a back injury and obvious pain to make it into the finale.

He took to Twitter to thank fans and urged them to support him one more week.

“Thank you all for your prayers this week. Made it through with a ton of pain. One more week. Gonna need your votes. @DancingABC 800-868-3401,” he tweeted.

Ribeiro was born in New York City in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, to parents from Trinidad and Tobago, Michael and Joy (De Leon) Ribeiro.

He became famous for playing Carlton Banks on the NBC sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ and later went on to host the GSN show Catch 21 and the ABC Family show Spell-Mageddon.

Ribeiro also starred in the title role of the Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid, and appeared as a dancer in a Pepsi commercial also featuring Michael Jackson.

He is now expecting his third child with his second wife, Angela Unkrich. Unkrich and Ribeiro already have one son, Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro, Jr.

Ribeiro has a daughter with his first wife, Robin Stapler. The couple share joint custody of their Sienna Ribeiro.
