News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Aug. 11, 2017: Can dropping down hard on a dance floor while do a split injure you? Many women in Caribbean dancehalls and playing mas at carnivals this year don’t seem to mind as it’s all about outdoing each other and showing off their skills at being able to “Split Tn The Middle.”

The soca song from St. Lucia singer Freezy, born Johnnick Leo, is undeniably this year’s summer anthem in the Caribbean and at Caribbean parties and carnivals in the Diaspora.

On Twitter, many are either posting half-naked women dancing to the song while others are tweeting about learning the dance in time for the upcoming carnivals in New York and Miami.

“Split in the Middle. Make de two twanche giggle… wine pon de table, my girl I know you able. Control BUMPER deh, fehseh bumper deb, sit down in my chair, one feet in the air…,” sings Frizzy in English and Creole.

The singer recently told Loop Barbados that he is glad that the track is getting ‘Lucian bashment soca,’ also known as ‘Lucian Kudoro, Valley Segment or Dennery Segment,’ more acceptance and a greater presence in the music industry.

He also urged fans to look for a newer track titled ‘Bend de banana’ and a music video soon for Split in de Middle.
