Rihanna Slammed For Dissing The Queen

Bajan star Rihanna is being a very bad girl. The singer, turned actress and entrepreneur has been slammed on Social Media by fans of Queen rihanna-disses-the-queen-altElizabeth, II, who recently turned 91. Rihanna, who goes by the moniker Bad Girl Ri Ri on Instagram, posted a bunch of photos of her account of the Queen’s head Photoshopped onto her own body.

“This is SO disrespectful! Do not ask for respect when don’t give any,” one fan told the Bad Girl even as many more were much more graphic in voicing annoyance at the postings.  We are sure Prince Harry can’t be too happy with Rihanna for dissing his granny!

Nicki Minaj’s Mother Weighs In

nicki-minaj-blonde-wig-altNicki Minaj’s mom is weighing in on her daughter’s  Instagram posting that showed her in a blonde wig and asked: “do bllondes Have More Fun? ”  Carol Maraj offered her two cents in response to the top female MC’s question posting: “Black hair. #myvote.” To which Nicki replied, “Mommy you’re not included in the voting process.” Meanwhile, Minaj’s legions of fans did not hold back when responding to the hip-hop star’s simple query. Apparently, the chart-topping diva’s devotees would rather see her working on new music than worrying about her hair.  “Instead of trying on wigz, why don’t you get your azz back in the studio?!” one posted.

Chronixx For Long Island, NY Show This Weekend

Roots reggae singer Chronixx is coming to Long Island, NY this weekend. The singer, born Jamar McNaughton, is set to perform on April 30th at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, Long Island at 9 p.m. Get tickets here starting from USD 20.

Christafari Tops Billboard Reggae Charts Again

Christian reggae band, Christafari is sitting pretty atop the Billboard Reggae Charts with ‘Hearts of Fire.’ The new album includes songs like ‘Soul Revolution,’ ‘Back slider’ and ‘I Am Not Ashamed.’ This weekend, on April 30th, the group will play Nairobi, Kenya at Nairobi Chapel Ngong Road.

DR Born Actress Dania Ramirez Lands New Role

Dominican Republic-born actress Dania Ramirez, recently of Devious Maids, has landed a new role, this time in her husband’s movie. Ramirez will star in her husband’s, Actor Bev Land’s feature directorial debut of the werewolf horror tale LYCAN.  Land wrote the screenplay for LYCAN with Michael Mordler. The North American distribution rights to the film are in the hands of MVD Entertainment Group and Parade Deck Films, who are planning to give it a theatrical release in select cities on August 4th.
