The smash hit created on the life of America’s greatest immigrant, Caribbean-born Alexander Hamilton, will be represented by Tony nominees Puerto-Rico-roots Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Daveed Diggs and Christopher Jackson.
Of course the show has been nominated 16 times including for Best Musical, Best Book of Musical, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Best Scenic Design of a Musical, Best Costume Design of a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical.
The American Theatre Wing’s 70th Annual Tony Awards – hosted by Tony Award-winner James Corden – will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 12, 2016 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
