News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. Jan. 24, 2018: Late night host, Conan O’Brien, is giving Haitians in Haiti a chance to slam back at Donald Trump. O’Brien took his show to Haiti last week for his latest international segment.
In a preview clip released Monday night, the late-night host wanders the streets of the Caribbean country and gives Haitians a chance to respond to Trump’s crude remarks about allowing immigrants from “s-thole countries” into the U.S.
“Mr. Trump, please come visit Haiti. Because every time you leave your country, you make America great again,” says one passerby. Another one comments: “For years we had heartless dictators, and finally we turned to democracy. But you guys did the opposite.”
