New Indy Film Focuses On The ‘Jamaican Mafia’

News Americas, ATLANTA, GA, Fri. July 11, 2014: Almost all has heard of the Italian and Russian mafia but the Jamaica mafia?

A new independent film that is set for release next month puts the spotlight on just that. ‘Jamaican Mafia,’ is the brainchild of screenwriter Mykal Fax who also plays the lead character role of “Zoolian Anderson.”

Anderson, who after learning about his mafioso boss uncle decides to quit his car salesman hustle to join uncle “Soljie” (played by Jamaica’s leading ‘A’ list actor, Paul Campbell).

The film chronicles Zoolian’s life as a member of the notorious “Jamaican Mafia” gang, who desire to outdo the world famous “Shower Posse.”

The all-star cast also boasts the talent of Fax, D’Angel, a dancehall artist, model, actress & business woman who plays “Robin,” Nardo Ranks, a dancehall star turned actor who plays the character, “Jankro;” Caribbean media & entertainment mogul Bobby Clarke who plays Carland Boss (Zoolian’s employer); rising dancehall vocalist & actress Martina Startina who plays the character “Picharie;” experienced actor Roger Williams who plays “Skelo;” Caribbean media, entertainment businessman & radio personality David “Squeeze” Annakie who plays “Lance” and Stokely Brown, another experienced actor who plays the character “Massop.”

‘Jamaican Mafia’s’ executive producer  is the smart Italian business and entertainment executive, Dale Foti, who also doubles as production manager, and has an appearance in the movie as well.

It is produced by, film/Jamaican television producer an actor himself, Orville Matherson who’s also an executive producer and shares the producer credits and duties with Nyte Life TV and fellow film/Jamaican television producer Elvis Griffiths. It is directed by the multi-talented Vafambo Donzo and is being presented by Yaad Boiiz Productions, Donzo Productions & Kingston 11 Films.

The film, according to its officials, will be released in cinemas and be available for downloads as well from August through September.
