Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, nicknamed the “Pocket Rocket,” is set to compete at the 122nd Penn Relays on April 30th.

News Americas, PHILADELPHIA, PA, Fri. April 29, 2016: With the countdown on to the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, Jamaica is putting up one of its top Olympians to face the U.S. team tomorrow at the Philadelphia Penn Relay’s most competitive USA vs. The World showdown.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, nicknamed the “Pocket Rocket,” is set to compete at the 122nd Penn Relays on April 30th according to the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA). Fraser-Pryce, a two-time defending Olympic champion in the 100-m and winner in the 100m at three of the last four World Championships, will headline Team Jamaica as they take on the world’s elite sprinters in the USA vs. The World events at Franklin Field as she begins her road to Rio.

On the men’s side, Rusheen McDonald – Jamaican record-holder in the 400-m – will lead the 4×400 squad. Julian Forte, member of the championship 4×100 team at the 2014 World Relay Championships, will headline the sprinters.

The full teams to face Team USA are as follows:

Women’s team: Verone Chambers, Christine Day, Gayon Evans, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Tiffany James, Anastacia Leroy, Dawnalee Loney, Anneisha McLaughlin, Stephenie-Ann McPherson, Audra Segree, Kerron Stewart, Elaine Thompson.

Men’s team: Nathon Allen, Oshane Bailey, Ricardo Chambers, Julian Forte, Javon Francis, Jermaine Hamilton, Dwight Jones, Jason Livermore, Jonia McDonald, Rusheen McDonald.
