News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. July 8, 2016: The number of unarmed black and Latinos shot and killed by police across the U.S. has reached 27 so far this year alone compared to 32 for the same period – Jan-July 2015 – last year. Eight were Latinos and 19 black/African-American. For the same period this year, 22 Caucasians were shot and killed by cops compared to 26 for the same period last year while two people who identified as Native Americans were also shot and killed.

Here is a list of the Blacks and Latinos killed as compiled by media reports and from the Guardian Project, which counts people killed by police in the US. The July 5th and 6th police shootings of Philando Castile, 32, and Alton Sterling, 37, are not included because there is a dispute over whether they were armed or not. Here are the 27 as of July 6, 2016:
