News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. Oct. 10, 2016: Famed Bahamas-roots rocker Lenny Kravitz rode out Hurricane Matthew in his mother’s homeland of the Bahamas and while he is blessed to be safe and sound, the singer says other victims are on his mind.

Kravitz, who took to Instagram before the hurricane hit the Bahamas on Thurs. Oct. 6, 2016 to post  a picture  of him sitting on the beach with a caption: “The calm before the storm,” followed up a day later by telling his fans “all is well” but said he is thinking of other victims.

“Thinking of the brothers and sisters in the rest of the Bahamas, Haiti, Florida, Jamaica, DR and Cuba that were hit hard,” the rocker posted.

Kravitz’s post came as news reports indicate over 900 people may be dead from the storm in Haiti.

The storm also left 8 people deadline in North Carolina, five in Florida and 3 in Georgia. Matthew is also blamed for four deaths in the Dominican Republic and one in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
