 News Americas, WASHINGTON, D.C., Fri. Mar. 31, 2017: The U.S. on Thursday designated a Caribbean national and four others as “Specially Designated Global Terrorists” or SDGTs.

The Caribbean SDGT, Shane Dominic Crawford, was born in Trinidad & Tobago and is currently believed to be a foreign terrorist fighter in Syria carrying out terrorist activity on behalf of ISIS, including acting as an English language propagandist for the group.

Crawford, according to the US, also goes by the names: Asadullah, Abu Sa’d at-Trinidadi, Shane Asadullah Crawford and Asad.  He is 49-years-old. And is a former Christian who converted to Islam.

As a consequence of these designations, U.S. persons are prohibited from engaging in transactions or dealings with Crawford along with El Shafee Elsheikh, Anjem Choudary, Sami Bouras, and Mark John Taylor and all of their property and interests in property subject to United States jurisdiction is frozen.
