News Americas, QUEENS, NY, Fri. Aug. 10, 2012: CEMOTAP, the National Action Network and WLIB’s The Global Black Experience, are teaming up to pay tribute to Guyana-born radio producer, J. D. Livingston.

The gravely ill G.B.E. Producer is currently receiving chemotherapy as an outpatient at Harlem Hospital and has been unable to continue his work for several months now.

The event is set for Saturday August 18, at 2 PM at CEMOTAP HQ, 135-05 Rockaway Boulevard, South Ozone Park Queens NY.

“It is time for co-workers, fellow organization members and the community at large acknowledges the work of this behind the scenes community warrior,” said GBE Mind Flight personality, Imotep Gary Byrd. “There are situations that transcend our petty community squabbles. This is one.”
