Gildan raises full-year revenue forecast

(Reuters) – Canadian clothing maker Gildan Activewear Inc raised its full-year earnings forecast after posting a profit for its first quarter, driven by sales in its printwear business. The company now expects full-year revenue to slightly exceed its previous forecast of about $2.1 billion, while backing its earnings outlook of between $2.60 and $2.70 per share. Gildan is a top supplier to screenprinting companies, which print designs on its T-shirts and other basic clothing items.
