News Americas, Los Angeles, CA, Mon. Nov. 24, 2014: Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias emerged the ‘Best Latin Artist’ last night – at least at the 2014 American Music Awards.

Iglesias, who has had major crossover success this year for Bailando, which includes Jamaican dancehall star Sean Paul, beat out Marc Anthony and Romeo Santos for the honor.

The AMA’s featured several top performances including a stunningly beautiful and emotional one from Trinidad’s Nicki Minaj. Minaj, in an impressive bridal-looking gown, sang “Bed of Lies,” the latest single off her upcoming album, “The Pinkprint,” and was joined on stage by Skylar Grey who sat at a piano. The performance got the two a standing ovation.

The awards also featured performances from Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez. It was hosted by Pitbull.
